Universal Studios Theme Park
At Universal studios parks Monday to Wednesday seem to be the busiest then slow down Thursday and Friday and pickup again for Saturday and Sunday especially on holiday weeks. Rainy days are usually slower and mostly everything is still open. Just a few street shows are cancelled for bad weather. Hours change with the seasons, so call before you go. If you want to attempt to see everything in one day try to get to the parks early to see the attractions before it gets too crowded. The universal express tickets will let you choose a time for a ride and return later for a no wait admission. These tickets allow you to reserve one ride at a time unless you're a multi-day ticket holder then you can reserve up to 3 rides. These tickets are very much like the Disneyland park or Disney World park fast pass. Some rides will get you absolutely drenched, so make sure you bring a change of clothes and store them in a locker to keep dry.
Just after you enter Universal Studios and before you tour the parks be sure to get a brochure and map. The brochure will let you know the day's entertainment and the map will help you find them. If you want to leave the park get your hand stamped and when you return show your ticket and hand stamp to get in the same day. Always write down the parking location, after a long day your sure to forget where you parked. Universal Studios parks offer lockers for up to 90 minutes at the thrill rides and lockers to rent at the courtyard (check your map for location.) Every ride and every attraction has a theme shop for souvenirs, so you will not find everything in one location.(see map) Very different from Disneyland or Disney World.
The Orlando Flex tickets are similar to Disneyland and Disney World passes. There is a 4-park ticket that will get you into Universal Studios park, Islands of Adventure, Wet'n Wild and Sea world. There is also a 5-park ticket that will get you all of the above plus a safari through Busch Gardens. These tickets are both good for 14 days.
Disneyland and Disney World theme parks are always close by for you to enjoy.
