Single travel can be an expensive way to travel.
Single travel can be an expensive way to travel. As a single person traveling can cost more for tickets than if you were able to travel with a second or even third person. In most cases a single person is charged a higher price on tickets than a two person party when you are looking at a per person fare.
Many travel services like a travel agent and travel company's booking engines online will show a better deal on tickets for 2 persons traveling than for tickets for 1 person traveling. 2 persons sharing the same room will be less than the one person traveling as a single person using the same room, when looking at the rate per ticket. This usually occurs because it will take the travel company's agent or services online a longer time to fill the tour or flight. And besides who likes to travel on their own unless you are on a singles vacation club.
When planning with a travel agent or using booking engines online for a trip or vacation always find a friend or more to travel with you. The more people in your party, the greater the price reduction when looking at a per person fare. But remember you must be sharing the same room in order for you to get the better deal. Use the many booking engines to check out various vacation packages and always read the fine print or limits so you know how the fare is calculated. Many travel agents and services will add taxes and service charges so make sure everything is included when getting a price quote.
